World War I was the war of gallant, dashing airmen & the airplanes or "crates" they flew were colorful. The SPAD, however, was not only colorful but was also a very stable gun platform. Built by Societe pour Aviation at ses Derives in France, the SPAD became the fighter preferred by most of the French & American aces. The SPAD 13 was a tough, reliable fighter able to outdive nearly every other plane in the air. Plastic unassembled model w/gluing & painting required. Intermediate to advanced skill level.
