The F/A-18C is currently one of the most advanced light fighter-bombers. With its superior electronics and radar equipment it can be deployed both as an air superiority fighter as well as a fighter-bomber in night missions. Maximum speed: 1,8 Mach; range: 740 km; outboard loads 7700 kg of missiles and bombs. In March 1995 an F/A-18C of the VFA-195 "Dambusters" onboard the American aircraft carriers USS Independence was given particularly attractive markings before being presented to the public in June.
