The uniform of the British Foot Artillery was similar to that of the infantry, except that the basic tunic color was dark blue. Individual artillery companies were equipped with five 9pounder guns and a howitzer. They had a nominal strength of 6 officers with over 130 non-commissioned officers and gunners, also an allocation of drivers.
