This disk contains an unabridged digital reproduction of the 1921 Maintenance of Way Cyclopedia (860 pages) originally published by Simmons-Boardman. The information in the text and thousands of high-resolution photographs and dimensioned drawings is ideal for digital and scale model builders, railroad historians, and rail fans.

The digital HTML format allows for browsing by page or chapter, a linked index, and the inclusion of very high resolution photographs, drawings, and diagrams. High resolution permits enlargement and printing of images for personal use with excellent legibility. HTML formatted text can be searched, copied, and pasted for reference.

RailDriver navigation buttons offer browsing by chapter or page, and quick access to the Table of Contents and Index which provide direct links to selected topics or pages.

The illustrations and photographs from each page are stored as high resolution JPG files on the CD and may be opened by the browser or image editing software. The very high resolution (600 dpi) of these images allows the user to enlarge them while keeping an incredible amount of detail.
