Using original large-scale drawings of the turret and hundreds of chassis measurements, the Panzer Tracts team has created a new set of ultra-accurate drawings of the rarest of Germany’s armored observation vehicle - the Pz.Beob.Wg.Panther. There are also new as-built 1/35th scale prints of the kl.Pz.Bef.Wg. (Sd.Kfz.265) - the first armored vehicle used by forward observers in 1940. Other rare "observation" vehicles include the Feuerleitpanzer (8t Zgkw. and BN 10 H) used to launch V-2 missiles and the Panzermesskraftwagen used to observe experiments on test firing ranges. This volume also presents rare photos, 1/35th scale drawings, and accurate statistics of the Sd.Kfz.253, Sd.Kfz.254, Sd.Kfz.250/5, Sd.Kfz.250/12, Sd.Kfz.251/18, Sd.Kfz.251/20, Pz.Beob.Wg.III, and Pz.Beob.Wg.IV. In accordance with our high standards, the text and data are based solely on primary sources. Over 40 rare large-format photos and 20 scale drawings are used to illustrate the 13 different armored observation vehicles in this 44 page book.
