The MiG-19S is an all-metal, single-seat, midwing monoplane with slab-type tailplane and retractable tricycle undercarriage. The MiG-19S is powered by two RD-9B axial flow turbojets with nine stage compressor driven by two stage turbine, rated at 2.200 kp and 3040 kp with afterburning. The four spars wings with 55 deg sweep has 4 30 deg anhedral. The fuselage is divided into two main parts. Pressurised cockpit is provided with an ejection seat. The built-in armament consists of three 30 mm. NR-30 cannons and is completed by various combinations of bombs and rockets carried on wing racks.
