Internet Hobbies understands how important providing accurate and up-to-date order status information is to our customers. We want to keep you informed of your order's progression through our system from the time you place your order until it arrives at your doorstep. We accomplish this by sending you detailed email notices as the status of your order changes.
The first email you will receive is your order confirmation. It is our way of telling you we have received your order and we will be processing it based on the time schedule included with the email.
- "Will ship in 24 hours" - All merchandise is available for immediate shipping on next business day
- "Will ship in 2-3 days" - Your order should be processed and shipped in 2-3 business days. This is our best estimate of total time to complete order (including procurement time from any local distributor)
- "Will ship in 4-7 days" - Your order should be processed and shipped in 4-7 business days. This is our best estimate of total time to complete order (including procurement time from any distributor)
You will be notfied of any delays in the above processing times after 3 business days.
Remember that processing times have no relationship with shipping methods chosen. What does this mean? If you place your order and choose any expedited shipping method such as UPS Next Day Air, 2 Day Air, 3 Day Air, USPS Express Mail or Priority Mail it will not affect the above processing times. It simply means that once your order ships from our warehouse it will travel using the chosen method. It has nothing to do with expediting your order during processing.
Based on special circumstances, you may receive other Processing Times, but the above will be used for most orders.
Credit Card Declined Notice
If you receive a "Credit Card Declined" status email. Your order will be canceled and you will need to contact Customer Service at 800-873-9893. Once we have resolved the problem and have a valid authorization, your order will be re-instated.
You may have entered a wrong credit card number or expiration date. You may have also entered a billing address that is not associated with your credit card account. Our credit card processor uses AVS (Address Verification System)software to verify your correct billing address. You should only use the address that is associated with your account. Please contact your credit card company to add any additional addresses to your account before you place your order.
Status Alert Notices
During the processing of your order, you may receive additional emails alerting you to status changes. These messages include a URL that links to a Yahoo! Stores status page for your order. Detailed information will be provided under each line item.
Shipping Alert Notice
You will receive a final email from Internet Hobbies alerting you that your order has shipped. This email will give you detailed information on all line items; shipped, out of stock, backordered, discontinued and not yet released. It will also contain your order's tracking number(s).
Many of our customers are amazed by our fill rates. Our ability to complete your order as fully as we can stems from our total committment to providing our customers the best possible rate of fill during the processing of your transaction. No one at Internet Hobbies likes "out of stock" situations!

Good question. Don't be fooled by other online merchants stating they have everything in stock at all times. There are literally thousands of hobby items available in the marketplace and warehousing all of them would require them to have a facility the size of a Nimitz class aircraft carrier and most of them don't.
Now that's not to say we don't have a rather large inventory of goods on hand to support our customer's needs but it is very important that you understand that we have adopted a completely different business model than our competitors.
Internet Hobbies has purchasing agreements with the top national Rapid Response Hobby Distributors. These relationships allows us to supplement our inventory with over 500,000 additional items, all available to procure the next business day. In most cases, this merchandise is delivered to us within 24 hours of processing your order! This new "Just-in-Time" approach to inventory control has allowed us to grow our business, become more efficient and offer our customers outstanding fill rates without the burden of huge inventories. It goes a long way to alleviate "out of stock" situations and means that the chances are excellent that Internet Hobbies will be able to complete your order and ship 100% of your merchandise in the alloted processing time. This also helps us keep our prices down.
One more thing you should remember while navigating our website. When there is no "ADD TO CART" button below an item it is an indication that the item is no longer available to order. There is no need to call us about the item's availability. Once the item becomes available, we will reinstate the "ADD TO CART" button.

Internet Hobbies realizes that there are times when certain products are out of stock because of temporary shortages in the distribution chain. You can now choose to have these items placed on "backorder status" and shipped to you when they become available.
Please check the "I WILL ACCEPT BACKORDERS" box on our online order form to choose this service.
Internet Hobbies will ship out your backordered goods for a nominal shipping and handling fee of $4.50 per backorder shipment. Your online confirmation will have an estimated shipping time for these goods. This is only an estimate based on our best knowledge of each backordered item.
If you have not opted to accept backorders, all "OUT OF STOCK" items will be marked "No Longer Available" and we will consider the order completed and no further action will be taken.
All advance orders for future releases will automatically be considered a "backordered" item, regardless if you opted to accept backorders or not. We will ship any goods in stock that are ordered with the advance ordered merchandise and then ship out the remainder of the order when the merchandise becomes available. There will be a shipping charge per backorder shipment (Plus Insurance and Proof of Delivery Charges on orders over $100.00). It is highly recommended that you place separate orders for advance ordered merchandise. As a rule, advance orders do not qualify for any Special Sales Events or Discounts since they will not be shipped along with other ordered merchandise. We recommend placing a separate order for advance reservation merchandise.
Internet Hobbies has taken steps to deter credit card thieves from using stolen credit card information on our site. We request that all customers shipping to addresses other than their billing address notify their credit card company of the alternate shipping address. This process is becoming standard and credit card companies are happy to assist you. Simply call your credit card company and let them know you are placing orders via the Internet and would like to give them an alternate shipping address. Doing this will speed up the order process.
If our fraud department checks an order and the shipping address is not listed on the credit card account, the order will be delayed. An e-mail will then be sent to notify you of the delay and request you register the alternate shipping address with your credit card company. You then have 48 hours to register the alternate shipping address and notify us before we cancel the order. Again, if there is no response from you within 48 hours, we will cancel your order. Under no circumstances will Internet Hobbies ship to a third party. We can only ship to the person who is using their credit card for the purchase.
To further deter credit card fraud, Internet Hobbies has decided to implement a Signature Confirmation Program through the U.S. Postal Service and UPS. All shipments over $100.00 will require your signature at time of delivery. You will be required to sign for the package at delivery or you can sign for it at your local Post Office or UPS center. There will be a small charge for this service. ONLY THE RECIPIENT CAN SIGN FOR THE PACKAGE. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but it is our only way to insure delivery of these more costly shipments.
