    ONLINE ORDER STATUS

    Internet Hobbies understands how important providing accurate and up-to-date order status information is to our customers. We want to keep you informed of your order's progression through our system from the time you place your order until it arrives at your doorstep. We accomplish this by sending you detailed email notices as the status of your order changes.

    The first email you will receive is your order confirmation. It is our way of telling you we have received your order and we will be processing it based on the time schedule included with the email.

    Processing Times:

  • "Will ship in 24 hours" - All merchandise is available for immediate shipping on next business day
  • "Will ship in 2-3 days" - Your order should be processed and shipped in 2-3 business days. This is our best estimate of total time to complete order (including procurement time from local Rapid Response Distributor)
  • "Will ship in 4-7 days" - Your order should be processed and shipped in 4-7 business days. This is our best estimate of total time to complete order (including procurement time from distant Rapid Response Distributor)

    Remember that processing times have no relationship with shipping methods chosen.

    Based on special circumstances, you may receive other Processing Times, but the above will be used for most orders.

    Credit Card Declined Notice

    If you receive a "Credit Card Declined" status email, you may have entered a wrong credit card number or expiration date. Your order will be refused and marked bogus and you will need to resubmit your order to Internet Hobbies using the correct information.

    Status Alert Notices

    During the processing of your order, you may receive additional emails alerting you to status changes. These messages include a URL that links to a Yahoo! Stores status page for your order. Detailed information will be provided under each line item.

    Shipping Alert Notice

    You will receive a final email from Internet Hobbies alerting you that your order has shipped. This email will give you detailed information on all line items; shipped, out of stock, backordered, discontinued and not yet released. It will also contain your order's tracking number(s).

Our ability to complete your order as fully as we can stems from our total committment to providing our customers the best possible rate of fill during the processing of your transaction. No one at Internet Hobbies likes "out of stock" situations!

    Should I assume that everything listed on your website is in stock?

    Good question. It would be wrong to assume that any dealer carries everything in stock at all times. It isn't a realistic expectation. Now that's not to say we don't have a rather large inventory of goods on hand to support our customer's needs but it is very important that you understand that we have adopted a completely different business model than our competitors.

    Internet Hobbies has strategic purchasing agreements with the top national Rapid Response Hobby Distributors. These relationships allows us to supplement our inventory with over 500,000 additional items, all available to procure the next business day. In most cases, this merchandise is delivered to us within 24 hours of processing your order! This new "Just-in-Time" approach to inventory control has allowed us to grow our business, become more efficient and offer our customers outstanding fill rates without the burden of huge inventories. It goes a long way to alleviate "out of stock" situations and means that the chances are excellent that Internet Hobbies will be able to complete your order and ship 100% of your merchandise in the alloted processing time. This also helps us keep our prices down. Please, there really isn't a need to call us and ask if a certain item is in stock when we can usually get it for you in one or two business days. One more thing you should remember while navigating our website. When there is no "ORDER" button below an item that is an indication that the item is no longer available to order. There is no need to call us about the item's availability. Once the item becomes available, we will reinstate the "ORDER" button.

    Internet Hobbies also offers our customers the ability to purchase items not found on our website by using our "Special Purpose Order Form". All you need to do is enter the Item Number, Description and Price using the Special Purpose Order Form and it will be integrated seamlessly into your Yahoo! Stores order form.

    BACKORDER POLICY

    Internet Hobbies realizes that there are times when certain products are out of stock because of temporary shortages in the distribution chain. You can now choose to have these items placed on "backorder status" and shipped to you when they become available.

    Please check the "I WILL ACCEPT BACKORDERS" box on our online order form to choose this service.

    Internet Hobbies will ship out your backordered goods for a nominal shipping and handling fee of $4.50 per backorder shipment. Your online confirmation will have an estimated shipping time for these goods. This is only an estimate based on our best knowledge of each backordered item.

    If you have not opted to accept backorders, all "OUT OF STOCK" items will be marked "No Longer Available" and we will consider the order completed and no further action will be taken.

    All advance orders for future releases will automatically be considered a "backordered" item, regardless if you opted to accept backorders or not. We will ship any goods in stock that are ordered with the advance ordered merchandise and then ship out the remainder of the order when the merchandise becomes available. There will be a $5.00 charge per backorder shipment (Plus Insurance and Proof of Delivery Charges on orders over $100.00). It is highly recommended that you place separate orders for advance merchandise. As a rule, advance orders do not qualify for any Special Sales Events or Discounts since they will not be shipped along with other ordered merchandise. We recommend placing a separate order for advance reservation merchandise.

    CREDIT CARD FRAUD

    Internet Hobbies has taken steps to deter credit card thieves from using stolen credit card information on our site. We request that all customers shipping to addresses other than their billing address notify their credit card company of the alternate shipping address. This process is becoming standard and credit card companies are happy to assist you. Simply call your credit card company and let them know you are placing orders via the Internet and would like to give them an alternate shipping address. Doing this will speed up the order process.

    If our fraud department checks an order and the shipping address is not listed on the credit card account, the order will be delayed. An e-mail will then be sent to notify you of the delay and request you register the alternate shipping address with your credit card company. You then have 48 hours to register the alternate shipping address and notify us before we cancel the order. Again, if there is no response from you within 48 hours, we will cancel your order. Under no circumstances will Internet Hobbies ship to a third party. We can only ship to the person who is using their credit card for the purchase.

    To further deter credit card fraud Internet Hobbies has decided to implement a Signature Confirmation Program through the U.S. Postal Service, UPS and FedEx. All shipments over $100.00 will require signature at time of delivery. You will be required to sign for the package at delivery or you can sign for it at your local Post Office. The charge for this service is $1.75 per parcel. ONLY THE RECIPIENT CAN SIGN FOR THE PACKAGE.





    LOWEST PRICE ON THE INTERNET GUARANTEE

    Internet Hobbies guarantees the lowest prices on high quality merchandise! If you find the identical product advertised on an authorized competitor's web site (see below), we will match the price. This price match may include shipping from competitor.

    All you have to do is:

  • Place your order using our shopping cart program with Internet Hobbies. Make sure you fill in all of the information pertaining to our competitor's webpage showing the lower price under the "comments" section of our Online Order Form. We will adjust the prices on your final invoice based on the criteria below.

    Certain eligibilty rules do apply to receive advantage of the Internet Hobbies' Lowest Price Guarantee:

  • Competitor must be an authorized U.S. retailer doing business on the Internet, and must have the item in stock. All prices must be in US Dollars.

You will be charged actual cost on heavier, oversized and multiple carton orders. Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico is slightly higher. 2-4 days from shipping date.
    USPS Express Mail S&H USPS Express Mail is our fastest service, with next day delivery by 12 noon to most destinations. USPS Express Mail is delivered 365 days a year with no extra charge for Saturday, Sunday, or holiday delivery. Fully trackable, requiring signature of addressee at time of delivery. Default charge of $31.56 is based on one standard size 3 lbs. package shipped to Contiguous USA destinations. You will be charged actual amount plus a small special handling fee on heavier items over 3 lbs. Size and weight limitations apply (must weigh 70 pounds or less and measure 108 inches or less in combined length and girth). Overnight to most U.S. Destinations. Internet Hobbies cannot guarantee Express Mail delivery on out of stock items. Call first for availability.
    USPS Global Priority Mail 
    (Canada Only)
    All Canadian Orders Default charge is $19.25 for a 3 lbs. parcel but you will be charged actual cost on oversized or extremely heavy items. All Canadian orders will be sent via USPS Global Priority Mail with proof of delivery required. All duties, GST and PST fees are the customer's responsibility. Internet Hobbies does not charge these fees. 5-9 business days from shipping date.
    USPS Global Express Mail (Foreign Orders Except Canada) Global Express Mail is our service of choice for larger orders being shipped to overseas destinations. Global Express Mail is fully trackable, requiring signature of addressee at time of delivery. Default amount ($36.00) shown on your order is based on one standard-sized 4 lbs. parcel. You will be charged actual cost of shipping heavier shipments over 4 lbs. Size and weight limitations apply (parcel must weigh 70 pounds or less and measure 108 inches or less in combined length and girth. Customer is responsible for all local taxes and customs fees. 4-7 business days from shipping date.
    USPS Global Priority Mail (Foreign Orders Except Canada) Global Priority Mail is our service of choice for smaller orders being shipped to overseas destinations. Global Priority Mail is fully trackable, requiring signature of addressee at time of delivery. Default amount ($34.00) shown on your order is based on one standard-sized 3 lbs. parcel. You will be charged actual cost of shipping over 3 lbs. Size and weight limitations apply (parcel must weigh 70 pounds or less and measure 108 inches or less in combined length and girth. Customer is responsible for all local taxes and customs fees. 5-10 business days from shipping date.
    UPS International (Foreign Orders Except Canada) UPS International is an excellent service for smaller sized orders weighing under 3 pounds. Some remote destinations (usually 50 km from a major city) will be levied additional "Distant Delivery" surcharges of $20.00 USD and UPS is currently charging an additional "Fuel Surcharge" of 12% on all international shipments. UPS International uses dimensional weight calculations. Don't select this service if you are ordering large items. The dimensional weight will dramatically effect your total shipping costs. Remember, the $36.00 default charge will be increased to cover the actual cost of shipping to your location based on the above additional fees. Customer is responsible for all local taxes and customs fees. UPS International is fully trackable, requiring signature of addressee at time of delivery. 2-4 Days from shipping date
    SMALL ITEMS, SHIPPED BY THEMSELVES, SUCH AS DECALS, PHOTO-ETCHED PARTS, INDIVIDUAL FIGURES OF 1:35 SCALE AND SMALLER PLUS OTHER LIGHT WEIGHT ITEMS WILL ALWAYS BE CHARGED AT A REDUCED RATE BASED ON ACTUAL COST. PLEASE DISREGARD ANY DEFAULT SHIPPING CHARGES SHOWN ON YOUR ORDER. THEY WILL BE REDUCED AT TIME OF SHIPPING.

    We reserve the right to alter order shipping method based on parcel size, weight and destination.

    SHIPPING TO HAWAII AND ALASKA

    Internet Hobbies, Inc. requires that our customers in Hawaii and Alaska choose USPS Priority Mail as their shipping method. The default $10.50 charge covers a 3 lbs. parcel. Heavier packages will be charged on an actual cost basis and the difference added to your final invoice.

    All military APO and FPO addresses will be shipped out using our standard shipping rates. We do, however, recommend that for faster delivery you choose USPS Priority Mail as your shipping method. US Customs Declaration Form will accompany shipment.

    Due to the large amount of fraudulent orders, Internet Hobbies is currently only shipping merchandise to the United States, Canada and a limited number of other countries. We will, however, accept prepaid orders for shipment overeseas using an International Money Order or Bank Wire Transfer.     THERE IS A $150.00 LIMIT (INCLUDING SHIPPING & HANDLING) ON ALL FOREIGN ORDERS. If your order is over this $150.00 amount, you will be asked to pay in advance, using an International Money Order, before we can ship out your merchandise. Certain products are restricted for overseas sales. This includes all RC Cars & Trucks, RC Airplanes & Helicopters, RC Boats & Ships, Train Sets, Paints, Software and Large Oversized Products.

    RETURN POLICY

    Internet Hobbies will only accept returned merchandise with a valid Return Merchandise Authorization(RMA)Tag. All authorized returns will be credited to your account, less original shipping charges. All returns, other than shipping damaged goods or incorrect shipments, are subject to a 15% restocking fee. CUSTOMER MUST PAY FOR SHIPPING ON RETURNS. NO POSTAGE DUE RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED AND NO CREDITS WILL BE ISSUED FOR SHIPPING CHARGES. REFUSED SHIPMENTS WILL ALSO BE CHARGED 15% RE-STOCKING FEE AND WILL BE CREDITED LESS SHIPPING FEES.

    You will receive a valid RMA Tag within 10 business days of acceptance of your request. Please affix this tag to the outside of the shipping carton.

    Items must be returned 15 days from receipt of merchandise in its original packaging and original unused and resellable condition. (to be determined when package arrives at Internet Hobbies). All items requiring manufacturer's warranty repair or replacement must be handled directly through the individual manufacturer and should not be returned to Internet Hobbies. We reserve the right to refuse all such returns. Please contact us if you need information on manufacturer's address or phone number.

    Damaged Merchandise

    If a package has been damaged in shipping and it is apparent when the package arrives at your door, please REFUSE the delivery. If you have already accepted a package, and then discover that it has been damaged, call us immediately. We'll take it from there. Be sure to save all paperwork and packing material with the damaged goods. The carrier may wish to inspect it before processing the claim. Please do not return damaged-in-shipment merchandise to Internet Hobbies unless told to do so. It could jeopardize your claim and keep you from receiving credit for the return.



    TRAINSET RETURN POLICY

    INTERNET HOBBIES IS NOT IN THE TRAINSET RENTAL BUSINESS. WE DO NOT CONDONE THE RECENT PRACTICE OF PURCHASING A TRAINSET, SETTING IT UP FOR THE HOLIDAYS AND THEN ATTEMPTING TO RETURN IT IN JANUARY.

    UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL INTERNET HOBBIES ACCEPT A TRAIN SET FOR RETURN WITHOUT A PRE-ASSIGNED AND APPROVED RMA NUMBER.

    UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL INTERNET HOBBIES ACCEPT A TRAIN SET FOR RETURN THAT HAS BEEN OPENED IN ANY WAY INCLUDING BREAKING OF SHRINKWRAP AROUND STYROFOAM PACKING MATERIALS OR BREAKING OF GUMMED SEAL ON CARDBOARD CONTAINERS.

    ALL DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE MUST BE RETURNED TO ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER FOR REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR. YOU MAY VIEW A LIST OF MANUFACTURERS BY GOING TO OUR WARRANTY INFORMATION PAGE.

    SHOULD INTERNET HOBBIES, AT OUR SOLE DISCRETION, AGREE TO ACCEPT A TRAIN SET FOR RETURN, WE WILL ISSUE YOU AN AUTHORIZED RMA NUMBER. AT YOUR EXPENSE THE TRAIN SET SHALL BE RETURNED TO INTERNET HOBBIES. WE RECOMMEND INSURING YOUR PARCEL FOR IT?S FULL VALUE AND USING A SHIPPING METHOD THAT EMPLOYS A TRACKING SYSTEM.
